Default Turners before the storm??

Hey guys. A buddy and I have been planning a trip to hit the north end of the lake tomorrow for some time now since this is the only time our work schedules allowed us to get together. We've done a lot of fishin in the rain and done half decent before storms so being wet doesn't bother us. But do you think it'll be a total waste of time to hit turners, LNG, and possibly salt ditch area tomorrow morning? We're just a little bumbed out with this storm coming in. Thanks

Salt ditch might not be too bad. But I wouldn't fish any further north than the south bank right now.

I'm with you, fish gotta eat.... But I'm sure it'll be before I get there or after I leave. Lol. But like meaux said.. Winds been out the south for a few days now and with a 10-20mph e to se wind. May just have to count losses and save the gas money for another day. Just hate to call it quits before I even get out there.

check the weather again in the morning, if rain holds off go hit the salt ditch. Don't waste your time in turners. muddy waters with high south winds, and CAL point cant even keep shrimp right now because of fresh water still. Good luck

Salt ditch question: I understand the East side marsh, east of salt ditch, is private. can you fish the west side of the ditch? Other than setting up in the ditch and fishing the cuts, where is there to fish the salt ditch or marsh around there?

Turner's isn't the place to be right now. Its muddy due to the strong south winds we've been getting and with all the rain the salt line if way to the south. I'm not saying you wont catch anything there but you've to go with the numbers and fish on the south end right now.

where have you seen these signs?

I was in black just a few weeks ago, and the only signs I saw where over by the washouts on the west side, and the normal ones along the ditch. someone other then the poo poo tells me to get, Ill ask for their credentials and we will go from there........

Ive been told by more then one guide I can fish right up to the poles that say keep out, no trespassing.

Thanks for all the quick responses guys, big help. We ended up saving the gas to burn for another day. Hopefully be able to get out there next week sometime. I wasnt aware they put up a bunch of posted signs either. Last time I went threw there we just kind of went where we wanted, No signs. I guess I'll have to pay attention next time and see what's changed.
