Cheers Thursday Trout Bashing 7-30

Day two with Rodney Guin, Shane Sims, John Stafford, and Bob Brotherton was even better than day one!! It was "Fish on" at daylight as soon as I stopped the boat. The big trout were eating up our double rigged Matrix Shad lures like crazy. The fish were suspended in about 5-6 ft depths and would hit the baits just slowly drifting in the current. We had 50 logs taking a ice bath in the K2 at 6:45am when the smoke cleared. They came in spurts and around 9 am with the K2 stuffed with 74 hefty fish it was pretty much over. We moved around fishing till 11:30 only catching 6 more fish. We pointed the Bluewave North and came in to clean fish. Two incredible days with these guys busting up some real solid fish. No throw backs, and not one fish needing to be measured. Most all of out fish, except a few went 17-22 inches. No full limit today either (80 fish), but the quality of our fish couldn't be beat! Thanks guys for two spectacular days of "catching".

Nice fish. It's wierd how some years they stay on plastic all summer and other years live bait is better.
