Man, I want to encourge to just stay with it just play it every day if you can and before long your fingers will fill like pads on your dogs feet lol, in the mean time apply a couple layers of super glue to your finger tips this will relieve the pain a little thats what I use to do. another word of wisdom if you see your going to stay with it buy you a good instrument you don't have to pay no 1/2000.00 dollars you can pick up a good one for a lot less but a quality guitar set up right will be 10 times easier on the hands and you dont have to try to break the strings to get good sound from it, But if you master playing you'll never regret sticking with it and will get a life time of enjoyment from it. And if you can find somebody to jam with it will take you to the next level but first just learn them chords.
