Default Lacassine or Sabine

What are your thoughts on hunting these two refuges. Which one has better hunting? I've got a duck lease but would like to try something different sometime this year. Has anybody heard reports from either refuge? Thanks!

talked to a guy this past wednesday on my way down to the lease in johnsons bayou and he said he's been doing good in sabine. Then on the way home I saw a good bit of birds in the ponds on side of hwy 27 so thats a good sign. I know we are slowly seeing more and more birds every trip still nothing good though.

The birds are down fella's, they just aren't moving during the daylight hours. Our lease in Grand Chenier is holding thousands of ducks..... but
only in the grass. The high water we recieved the 1st of November is still on us and the birds are using it to their advantage. Little Pecan had a war Sunday but only because of their ability to control the water on their 12,000 acres. What we need is, a week of 15 mph North wind to blow some of this water back into the gulf.

How's it been for yall down in JB? Haven't hunted down there in over a week. It had slowed way down then.

wednesday i saw a lot of birds considering what i have been seeing but they wouldnt come any closer than 75 yds and just flying by not wanting to decoy only shot one teal, then saturday didn't see hardly any ducks but did get 12 to decoy and shot 5, had a flock of 6 teal but a little far out they wanted to sit down right outside the decoys we shot but didnt get any. I put out 2 dozen decoys wednesday then saturday tried 6 dozen. Seemed to help a lot and dang robo melted to fuse holder so im going to have to figure something out.
