Default New Floor

I finally broke down and spent the money to put an aluminum floor in my boat. Here are a couple of pics of the floor and hydro turf that I am going to laydown on top of it.

Nice, I think I've heard of that hydro turf before. Don't they make it in camo also?

70 per sheet, took 3 60"x40" sheets. Boat is 18'x42" should be able to get by with 2 sheets.

Did you get the peel and stick adhesive on it or did you glue it down? I am thinking of replacing the worn out carpet on my 24 ft pontoon with this stuff. I was wondering how it will hold up to being in the weather 24/7 which the pontoon is since it sits in the water tied up to the dock at the camp. I see on hydrturf's website that you can buy it by the sheet and there are several different patterns and colors. Anyone with experience on which pattern holds up the best would be appreciated.

Have only seen the grey but it has held up incredibly well since all of our boats remain uncovered year round. The adhesive is peel and stick 3M but wish it was not, once it is down that's it. May also check into Safe Floor, they are out of Kemah and it is roughly the same price. Recycled tires and epoxy troweled onto the floor which is extremely permanent! They can also put fish/ducks, ect into the floor for a personalized look. CHeck the website below, owner is incredibly nice fellow and answers the phone.

Do you know if the safe floor gets hot? Since it is rubber, I would think that it would get hot in the sun but would like to hear from someone who has it.

Anything dark colored is going to get hot. I had charcoal grey carpet in a bass boat & that crap would get scalding hot!

Any of the lighter colors should be fine.
