Default Big Lake 9/11

Well, wish I had a smoking report, but NOT.

Left Spicers about 0630 to the tide rolling in and an ENE wind about 10. Went through Texaco to the east side of the lake. Fished the Basket area with TW and had 3 blowups with no takers. Went south and fished a reef, Winds were 15 or so already. 2 short drifts and had 2 sandies and 2 specks. No keepers on YMB Bangtime cork and, YMB 1/16 jig head and salty grub. Headed to the channel/west cove and hit several spots. NADA. No tide. Headed south and fished the channel edge and caught 6 flounder on chart gulp mullet and YMB 1/4 jig head.

Tide started moving out pretty good about 1:30 at the Pilot's station, but I was hurtin so I headed in.

Few sunrise pics. Beautiful

Oh, and the winds were no where near the 5 - 10, more like 10 - 20.

Water look good pretty much everywhere with a few muddy patches here and there.

Yeah, except I gave em to Coco.

Looks like it may be an early flounder run this year.

Thanks for the report. I was kicking myself for not going to VBay this morning, but about 10:00 I was glad I didn't go. That 5-10 mph wind was not even close Wind was whipping here in Laffy
