When I was a kid I found a big hornet's nest at our hunting camp. One of the other members really wanted it, so we shot it down and he brought it home. Well he put it up in his house on the mantle, (above a fireplace with a nice hot fire), and let's just say all hell broke loose from there...

Any of you guys know how to get rid of a hornet/wasp problem? There must be a huge nest in the attic of my camp and when we light the wood burning stove they come out by the hundreds. This only occurs in the winter time.

I had the same problem.....Try to find where they may be getting in or coming out & spray Bengal roach spray in there, spray heavily in cracks that lead to open area, it will fog & leave poison dust so if you don't spray them directly they'll get in the dust that's left behind for months to come. Worked great for me, we used approx 20 cans of wasp spray & didn't solve the problem, 2 cans of Bengal & problem gone! |

Thanks! We've been fighting with this issue for years. I'll give the Bengal spray a try tommorrow.

Hot soapy water has always killed them for me. Wait until night time when they're all at the nest. If you can't reach them burn that mofo down!!
