I'm headed down to fish big lake next month. What would be some artifical baits that I should bring. Plan on using live bait also. Just trying to get everything before we head down.

No such thing as "the right' artificial bait... Big Lake fishes like any other water in regard to what you're targeting. bring a variety of colors and sizes. what kills the fish one day might not get a bump the next trip.

Personally I like bayou chubs, lil johns, and vudu swim mullet, but I've had trips where these are outperformed by other baits. best advice I can give is be sure to have a variety with you, never know what will do the trick day to day, and pay attention to the water. different water color calls for different lures.. GOOD LUCK!!!!
