Hemi all day!!!! fuel saving tech makes a big difference while city driving compared to a str8 v8.
and it pulls my boat very well along with good gas milage. While towing 13-14 mpg towing my boat 60-63 mph.

Drove to Houston and back all on interstate. Got 31 mpg. I've been pulling a trailer with 2 four wheelers this week getting over 20 mpg.

Just for a ram 2500 a few weeks ago with the new 6.4 hemi. Loving it so far. 2 trips from lake chuck to baton rouge and back (no load) and 18 on one trip and 18.5 on the other. This is off the computer. I did not hand calculate it. I also drove the limit + 4 mph on cruise. Pulls 30' camper and 21.5' bay boat good I just haven't pulled any kind of distance to give mpg numbers. I had a ford 5.0 before this truck. Great engine. Strong and efficient. Really liked it and the truck but wanted a 3/4 ton and the new big hemi.

I wonder how heavy the front end would feel with a 5L motor.
