Default 9-22-16 Prien

I got a late start this morning, and it's a good thing I did, because I was close to going home after a series of short strikes and general lack of action.

I had 1 keeper trout by 12:30 and was going to call it a day, but hit one last spot just before the major feeding time. Like clockwork, shrimp started jumping all over the place and I was literally anchored in the middle of a school of hungry trout.

I never had to move an inch for the last 14 and a bonus flounder. Left them biting. All but 1 caught on lil johns in 3-6 ft.

Yes, yes, and yes to lake and channel. Most of the fish I've caught in my last few trips have been in shallow water close to deeper water. Coincidentally, this is where I catch most fish year round, with a few exceptions.
