Let me tell u how stupid the managers are who run that circus act

They open up with a unnormal high tide ( 2ft-3ft) above normal , and push everything further in marsh due to marsh 3ft lower !

Leave open 4 days with out moving much water out

A 3rd grader could do a better jon

Default Gate at wiers

Can someone clear this up for me. Guides you guys should know. I was told that the boat through gate at Grand bayou wier was never closed during the summer. There was only some pipe pieces keeping boaters from entering but letting water flow in and out freely with the tide. Is this true?? if so than the water salinity problem is a bunch of bull.

Please respond

It was open all year until about month or two ago..and they shut the gate never had pipes

Once it got close to duck season they wanted to save duck grass so they closed it off

I have the exact date closed on a text message will have to dig

Also as of this a.m. It might not close tomorrow they are going recesses the marsh

So a state agency managed weir is closed because the federal govt is shutdown. Are the weirs closed preventing water movement or is just the boat bay closed preventing boat access?

The more I read about this whole govt shutdown and think about it, the more I want to do the same things those fellow vets did at the memorials in DC and jump that levee to go catch some shrimp for my family. If they are shutdown then there should be no tickets issued, right?
