If you are looking for a public boat launch down in southern Cameron there are several places..... none are on the West Fork.


The closest would be at the Cameron Ferry on the west side of the ship channel. The West Fork in a little over a mile to the north.


Another option would be to launch at the West Cove launch just off of Hwy 27 on the south part of the Sabine Wildlife Refuge. If you go east from the launch, it takes you into West Cove. Then follow the south bank of West Cove for a couple of mile and you will come to the West Fork [of the old Calcasieu river].

Yes there is a launch on the West Fork.

It appears to be private and owned by the Pujo Family
