Default GPS/ Fishfinders

Good Day Guys from Way out in the DEEP BLUE...

Question... I'm looking to replace my Northstar GPS/Sounder..

Looking @ the NEW Lowrance 7 HDS Touch.. Does anyone have one yet??? Or just the HDS 7.. Pros r Cons?
What about the Downscan??? Want Transducer are U running 83/200 or 50/200.. I'm going to be using mine in 75% bays 25' water or less.. but the rest offshore..

Also anyone have the Lowrance Elite 7 HDI??? Please need help..

The 7 HDS Touch is about 2k installed... Elite HDI 7 about $900 installed..

I know one is a touch screen and the Elite 7 HDI as buttions..

go look on the hull truth... lots of info about electronics there

I have a garmin 740s which is a touch screen, this is my second one, I like it.

Lowrance HD models are the shizzle. Never used the touch screen though.

I dont like touchscreen.....my hands are always filthy, so the screen gets all smuged up

Good point. I can't seem to keep mine clean and it isn't a touch screen.

Garmins seem easier to use, but those HDS screens are amazing!

We get plenty of requests for the non touch. Garmin also has some new units coming out to replace the 740s. This is the time of year everyone reveals the new units
