Default bait shrimp in LC

Who has the best bait shrimp in the Lake Charles area. Never bought any before. I know gaspards does but they didnt look good or too fresh. Does calcasieu point sale them?any quality?

When calcasieu point has em that's the best place imo..always fresh and good price on em..

Cal. Point is closed till spring.

Only place to get good bait shrimp would be JT's on Lake St., or Kroger/Albertsons/Market Basket... Good Shrimp, but I wouldn't waste them on fishing.
Bait Shrimp is cheap, cause it is not fit for human consumption. That's why it don't look good, or is is way too small to get on a hook.

Yea I'd rather throw them shrimp from the grocery store in a pan or some gumbo!

I don't buy market Shrimp. I gets them straight from the boat.
And I don't chunk market Shrimp.
Just if I did, them lil nasty brown bait Shrimp would only do good with Hard Heads and maybe some really hungry Reds.

Yea I used to bring a lil with me just in case but I quit doing that about a year ago...If they arent biting artificial or gulp I need to do some better fishing...way too much time wasted with market shrimp, may pick some up in the future to catch some baby croakers for bait though..

I agree i was catching sunday with them! Rough and muddy water! I ordered 6 more packs last night!
