Default 4/6/14 Spring has Sprung!

After fishing in terrible conditions yesterday, today's calm winds and foggy morning was a welcome sight. It was day 2 of our 3 boat charter. Mike, Jacob, and Danny joined me again for a good ole fashion trout slam. All 3 boats spread out, I started fishing a shallow reef. We picked up a quick 14 trout on the Green Hornet Matrix and the bite shut down completely. Just about then Capt. Marty was on the radio saying he was on a good bite so off we went. Pulled up and it took us a few minutes to get on our own group of fish but as soon as we found a couple the power pole went down and we smacked them in the mouth using Tiger Bait and Shrimp Creole Matrix under a cork. Had some throwbacks but that's normal for April. We kept catching until number 70 hit the K2. We hit a flock of birds and another reef to complete the box. Added 2 puppy drum and a big red before taking it to the house. Definitely a beautiful sight to shrimp jumping and the trout in hot pursuit. Thanks Capt. Marty Lacoste for setting up the trip.
