We tried Wiers last week and only caught 20. They were full of mud. Not running yet!

What about Rockefeller? I know the launch is closed right now, but when it opens back up, y'all think it would be any good? Or is it still a little too early?

It's hard to tell, I went last year around the 7th and it was chilly, hadn't heard a thing and everyone was doing so so to poor. Left with 8 dozen clean and full in only a few hours...

My son has baited a few crab traps off our dock in Hackberry and in the last week he has started catching some really nice ones. Not a bunch but we never do catch more than 2-3 per day per trap.

Launch is not closed, at least it wasn't two weeks ago when I went. Did something change?

I attempted a few spots in the Sabine reserve.... in the stupid wind today....lol Not worth going. Very small females are the only thing that are there, I guess the water temp is still to cold for them to move in. On another note, I stopped at the nature trail to walk around and the Reds were thrashing the mullet by that bridge... it was a spectacle!!. I still don't know why they had to put up the no fishing signs (boat traffic) there even from a boat. I could have limited on reds in no time.
