Way better than mine too. 3 of us hunting in Sharkey and we only seen 1 bear.

We didn't kill anything. It was slim this weekend. We were at Hunter's Bend also. Wish I would have seen that earlier.

We hunted McLemore and our group of 5 hunters killed 6 deer the first lottery hunt..

We hunt McLemore area from the Sharkey ATV trail. Saw 3 bears and the 1 doe I got just two of us hunted this year. We always hunted Thankgiving weekend but change this year to second hunt.

3 of us went to 1st hunt and hunted by refuge center and did good. Killed an 8, 7, spike and doe. The 8 pt. weighed 197. Saw a young man pull up with a nice 8pt. And it weighed in at 297!!! It was a Hoss! Also he was in full rut during the 1st hunt.. I never saw a deer neck that big! Tensas is a Beautiful place but didn't see the deer movement like we use to. We asked the refuge man and he said the weather has been to warm and deer haven't been moving like they normally do.

There is not the deer there used to be in Tensas. Unfortunately the Fed is more worried about the bears than the deer.
