Default boat blind

Well, havent been able to hunt our lease at all yet this year. It is in the swamps of the basin. We have not had any water to get to our blinds. We have had this problem before during the first splits, but this year,Im not sure if we will get any in time to make any hunts at all. So, I decided it was time to get versatile and make a pop up blind on the boat. Just getting it finished up this weekend. Still got to add a lil brush to it,but Its coming along.

Not a good sign when the dog is practicing flipping a pirogue!

Looks good. I used to build the flip blinds and install them on a bunch of boats. Mostly used fast grass.

If you would let me make a suggestion, I would take the shorter bars and mount them on the topside. That would allow you to close the top more tightly and you can flip it down to shoot.

Looks awesome. Was that a kit or did you build it from scratch? Is that aluminum pipe? I may try to do the same thing so I can go blast some of them vermilion bay ducks. Good luck with your hunts.

I built mine with 7/8" nylon bimini fittings and emt electrical conduit. The emt comes in 10' pieces so I welded two joints together to make them long enough. The fittings will need to be reamed out to fit the emt.

@ Shawn, my dog practicing ridin dirty lol

@ Bob lets go man, just need to find a good hole to hunt it in

@ Ryan, may get some brush for the front, but dont find it to flare anything, looks just like a log sticking out of the brush.

@ kibb thanks for the tip, the hole at the top aint to bad,its only about 24" wide, and I made a few panels to drape over the top between the hunters, to block some of the hole off.

@ tbone and cuzin, thanks,I enjoyed making it with my son. It is homeade, Kinda copied from a few other kind of blinds. I used 3/4 conduit and put a lil paint on em. Used it yesterday, and was able to set it up in about 20 or 30 seconds. I kinda liked that.
