Default costly repairs

Yes, the repair bill to replace fuel pump/filter was $1100 +. Ask around and you will see that is the going price. You have to drop tank, replace items, replace tank. labor eats you up. Sorry, corrected price. entered it incorrectly. blue book/nada from 11-12,500

must be, I went to the dealership bought a fuel pump and filter $275, dropped the tank (that was full) with two jacks and a board, took 10 minutes to change, I had the whole job done in an hour and a half.

That's right. It goes by book time and, from what I understand, in this area, the dealerships are at $93 per flag hour. They also charge full list for parts, charge for "shop supplies" which is, I think is 3% of taxable amount up to $25-$30. They also charge an average of $3-$5 hazardous disposal to each bill, even if it's just an air filter. It's the nature of the beast and it's expensive but, so is all the stuff they have to keep up with technology-wise!
