Just got mine today also. Haven't fished in it yet. How are you guys keeping fish? Putting them on stringers until you get back to the truck? There is no way I can fit a ice chest in mine. Its a journey 12SS by sundolphin.

Yes , I use a Columbia softside bag also. It has some extra bags inside to keep your drinks and snacks separated from your catch Works really well.

Awesome! I'll look for one. A friend and I are going tomorrow for the first time. What's some good places for kayaks around Lafouche area? Thinking of either basons launch or golden meadow. Would grand isle or Fouchon be better?

Park At Bobby Lyns and fish the marsh on the west side of LA 1.

Sounds like that's where we will go. So west side is better than east side for yaks?

I'm hooked! Didn't do all that well but it's addicting. Started out on west side LA1 in grand isle. The wind was moving pretty good. We fished for 2hrs and nothing. Decided to head to golden meadow launch. Paddled out towards cat fish lake and fished the grassy banks on our way there. Caught 1 14" red,1 trout and a sheep head. All fish were released and looking forward to hitting it again. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1414860838.487480.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1414860864.315596.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1414860876.588582.jpg
