That is a beautiful buck! Did you kill him with bow or rifle?

Rifle, haven't mastered the art of the bow yet. I tried and lost a good deer so i put it up.

Me and my cousin teamed up on one like that when we were young. It was near my grandmother's house on Lake Bruin during one of the years in the 80's when the Mississippi got real high and had everything within the Levee system flooded. First day of the season, we jumped it on the waters edge, unloaded our guns on it as it began to swim. It sank and we never could find it. Made for a good and somewhat strange story especially combined with the fact that the day before (season not open, but we got caught up in the excitement) we were blackbird hunting and jumped a spike in the same area. It crossed the levee and was caught in the neighbors barbed wire fence by it's 2 little spikes somehow. We unloaded every birdshot we had (20 gauge and 410) into it's chest, it came loose, stared at us and fell over. Then we remembered season was not open and we were in broad daylight on the edge of a highway. We ran home, got our dad's and scurried to get the deer in the shed. We got fussed at a bit, then spent the rest of the day laughing about it.
