Default New to me Hunting Dog

My wife, youngest son and I ran up to Madisonville, Texas today and decided to buy Maker. Maker is 2 years old and has been in field trials but is now a "wash out". Maker is a finished dog and I look forward to hunting with him. He was making multiple blind retrieves at several hundred years and most importantly he immediately became attached to my son. Unfortunately this dog a little advance for a rookie like me but we will try and make it work.

I think right now would be good time to buy in to shotgun and camo stock the way he has been ate up with it lately lol. Congrats on the pup. Makes me want to go home and throw the dummy with my black lab right now.

Thanks guys, I do have the fever in a big way. My entire family likes duck hunting, what a great sport. I put a deposit down on an 1844 with a 35HP surface drive today. I will be broke before I make to next season.

Thanks to Raymond Little for helping me find the dog, as always Raymond is a good person to know.

That's a fine looking dog Casey. Field Trial Washouts are the way to go if you can afford them. Congrats on the new addition to the family!

Now go make some money so you can pay off the boat.
