Default Duck Hunts This Week (week ended 1/1)

I made several hunts this week with both of my boys and my wife joined us for a rice field hunt. We hunted with a friend of mine over in Johnson's Bayou the Sabine Refuge, and a rice field in Iowa. We hunted with several people such as Kenner 18, Jared Adams, Boat Driver and a good friend of Paul Myers. I will admit that I have "duck fever" in a bad way. Now both of my boys and my wife feel the same way so it looks like we have another family activity.

Below are a few pictures over the last week. Our hunting was very good last week before the big rain front and it was much slower this week. The fog killed us on Saturday. We had an amazing rice field hunt, my wife killed a banded goose and my eight year old shot three mallards and a pintail. We ended the rice hunt with a 4 man limit.

This is a great hobby, I want to thank those of you that have helped me this year.

Bunch of nice hunts there Casey! I enjoyed my hunt this week with you, Matthew and Ronnie.

I'm especially glad the rice field hunt this morning worked out for Miss Tracey and Matthew.

I enjoyed it, we certainly plan to make another trip with you. There was nothing you could do about all of that fog, all of the blinds around us had a hard time.

Brady (Boatdriver) and Capt Buddy gave Mason (my 5 year old) a duck call, he hasn't stopped blowing into that things since they gave it to him. We are going to mount Matthew's Mallard.

Thanks Fool I appreciate it. I have let everyone I can think of know that I am looking for some blinds and I am on all of the waiting lists so I guess all I can do now is wait.

Persoanally Casey I'd stick with this idea. Be versatile by using different service's and not getting envolved with just one area. I've gotten to the point that it's real nice to pay for the servies and walk away with the memories.Again to each his own.
