Cheers 5-25 trout and reds

Petey Kern and crew were back with me today. We headed out for trout, and found zero at our first two stops. Third stop had a trout on the second cast, then multiple trout thereafter. Our bite shut down when a inconsiderate person motored within 50-60 yards of where we were catching at. We trolled around picking up about five more fish, then left. Our next stop had us hooked up with a big bull red which we released safely. One more stop in 3 ft of water found the trout hungry!! We had the trout coming in every cast 1 - 2 at a time on double rigged Matrix Shad. The fish were in a frenzy and hitting the baits aggressive. Unfortunately, this bite only lasted a short while, after putting 20 in the boat the fish were gone. We trolled around picking up a few more keepers and plenty more undersized fish. We switched gears to red-fishing around 10:30. Bait shrimp under a cork on points added a couple keeper reds and some throwbacks. Thanks guys for another fun time on the water. Thanks Petey for the continued business.

Great job captain... Those inconsiderate boarders out there drive me nutz as well, especially when you have a charter on the boat... It is very apparent most of the time as to who the charterboats are and the weekend warriors need to keep their distance as your out there trying to make a living and they're not. Anyway... my two cents from when I worked on the boats.
