Default Bayou Teche Catfish

My kids put out some jug lines in the Bayou Teche last night behind Patterson. My son Hunter sent me this picture of the biggest ones. All total they caught 32 fish. He is 14 and loves fishing. His older brother and his girlfriend and younger brother helped make a few runs but Hunter caught the bait and put them out. I'm pretty proud of them. I love seeing my kids grow up and enjoy the outdoors the way I do.

My wife told me it took the two youngest hours to clean the fish this morning but he kept at it and cleaned them all. She told me he had over 4 gallons of filets. He wants her to
cook some for dinner. Wish I was home. I'm a pretty proud papa right now.

Thanks for the comments. I am very proud of them. And like speck-chaser said the fact that they clean their own fish only makes it better. Heck, maybe I can get them to clean the fish when I am home too! Hunter has his own boat and has lots of plans for the summer. Should be an interesting. I know it will shape him for the rest of his life. With the world the way it is today I think keeping our kids in the outdoors is the best thing we can do for them.

Bream and cut bait. Never had much luck with liver.
