Another decent trip fished the river north of I10 bridge around the cuts going into the woods caught 18 fish all on plastic hog jrs and speed crawls had 3 fish over 14" and lost a nice one prob 17" river has been good this year mainly because salt water has been kept out due to Toledo bemd releasing all the water. More vegation on the river then I have seen in a long time. But its all about to change will have salt water coming in now and things are about to change. Salt water slows the eating patern and also stunts the growth of the fish because of it. I have caught more keeper fish this year then I have since they change the size limit. All that is about to change salt water is coming in and the 9" - 12" will start to get in bunches and it will be hit and miss. Just what I see from my side of things what do you see.

I think it gets better later in the year when the salt comes up. Love the shrimp bite

South of I10 to Conway area. Fishing the mouths of all cuts and drains. Was gonna go today but fished big lake this morning will make a trip this week after work. The fish were hitting bait around the old signal shipyard last time I went but most of them are small. If you can't find clean water coming out are in and its mixed color fish that area it has been pretty good.
