Default Offshore Trout 7/24 & 7/25

Team Bone-A-Fide
7/24 :
Really nice day, slight breeze to keep it cool, and just a light chop.
At the hole before the sun broke, first cast fish on!!! Hammered on em for an hour, then here come the mackrel, destroying tackle!! Went thru a good 35 leaders, but were still catching a few trout mixed in. We finally gave up fighting thru the mackrel at 10am with 81 nice trout!!!
(Pic is from this day!)

7/25
Whole different crew besides myself and our Captain.
Showed up first to the trout hole as normal, water still beautiful, but current ripping and quite a bit more choppy seas!! No problem though, we start catching immediately, but much smaller trout than the day before. Again no problem, perfect size to pop the grease!!! About 45 minutes into it we thought it was on, we already had 38, then pffffttttt, someone turned off the switch, no trout, no trash fish, not even a hardhead. Repositioned the big Yellowfin 3 times, but nothing!!!!!
So, plan B, off to catch Mangrove. We were only able to boat 4 Mangrove, as we couldn't keep our bait from being swarmed by the elusive Red Snapper!!
Headed back in to The Point we stopped at the trout hole and picked up 7 more trout to end the day with 45-Specks, & 4-Mangrove.

All in all both GREAT trips!!!
Came home with another load of fillets!!!!
126 -Trout
4 - Mangrove

All trout were caught on live bait, mostly croaker, Carolina rigged.

No pic from Friday, we were all in a hurry to get things cleaned up and get back home for some much needed rest!!!!!
