Default October fishin in Wilkinson Bayou for reds and trout

I always look forward to October for the sight casting... The best part about this month is that you normally can hit trout as well.

This is exactly what happened yesterday, the wind was perfect maybe 6 to 9 MPH winds and sunny with clear water.

I hit my first spot in Wilkinson Bayou and on the second cast I had my first red pulling on the other end. The water was crystal clear and I was able to easily see the reds form as far away as 30 to 40 yards. I fished for about 2 hours and ended the day tagging 14 trout largest coming in at 17" and the smallest at 14".

I promised my wife redfish for dinner so I kept 2 of the 5 reds the largest was 28" and the smallest came in at 21".

Pretty much I had a fish on every other cast for the 2 hours of fishing.

Wish we had that a place like this on the other side of the state, or wish I knew about one over here.

I really need to learn how to take pictures while I am fishing, I just get caught up in fishing and forget about my camera.

Google maps link. https://goo.gl/maps/h6DiMGS9GVC2
