Default 9/23/16 Prien Area Report

Launched prien lake park around 2pm friday, went to catch bait in a cut north of there, tons of small pogies 3" or so, then stayed up there to fish rest of the afternoon.
Caught a few small trout under 12", then around 330 water started moving (maybe just due to wind) but found a couple reds and flounder along rocks around a point up there. Died around 530.
Tried topwater at dusk just outside of launch, had a few short strikes but they never could get it.

Overall, lots of baitfish up north and saw some 20 count shrimp swimming around too. Gritted it out along on stretch most of afternoon, fish were there just wouldnt bite but a few minutes every hour.
Not much water movement, but theyre there. Pogies, glow lil johns and gulp swimtail mullets accounted for the few i could get to eat.
kept two reds, two flounder, one trout, and caught as many unders of each

Nice report. I think I'm more excited about the shrimp right now!

Can you pull a trawl around the area where you saw the shrimp?

Never done it so I don't know. Plenty deep though.
