Default big lake 7-19

headed out this mornin out of calcasieu point, and while I'm sure I should have went to the south end, I never went farther than the texaco cut (I think, old beat up building on it?) Anyway, at the cut, caught a few drum, and got a small shark to the boat, and ladyfish, left there for some birds workin nearby, nothin but ladyfish on anything we threw. fed up with that, went up to turners to hunt reds, and while I saw some huge redfish fins next to the grass, all we could manage were baby reds and LADYFISH. Never went after a tailing red before, didn't really know how to go about it, think I scared em off throwing too close. saw a shark up there chasin something out the water, I think a bluefish, was cool to see.

Anyway, ladyfish were everywhere, aggaravating little things!

What were you throwing? I'm going tomorrow and will probably be bouncing some gulp or jerking a pink Top Dog, Jr for some reds.

they do pull pretty hard for thier size, but with so many around, and them being so aggressive, that's all that will hit
