Default Crabbing Closed?

Been a while since I've checked in. The kiddos were wanting to go crabbing tomorrow and someone told me they were closing down places like Hog Island. I find it hard to believe due to the fact LDWF had a news release about getting outdoors during the shut down. We plan on going to Hog Island and possibly Johnson Bayou area. What is the word?

I can’t imagine they would do that but who knows in this crazy time we’re living in.

No joke, that is what made me think it was BS. I think we may go tomorrow and wing it. If nothing else we got out the house and stayed to ourselves.

Sabine refuge is different. It is a National Wildlife Refuge. Not a state WMA.

I went and caught my 5 dozen limit and left.

Didn't go, my wife got paranoid and called LDWF and the Sherriff's office and they both said they aren't giving tickets but are asking people to leave. I highly doubt there would have been an issue but she wasn't having it so I mowed the yard and relaxed....haha

The launch is going to be shut down at the ferry for about a year due to the rebuilding of the regular ferry and it?s structure. This is going to happen as soon as coast guard inspector approves the Arcadia for use
