Default Flounder have moved out of the marsh

I went down to Cameron to fish with some friends after church today.
7 of us caught 70 flounder in the Old River area on a mud bank.
Most were caught on yellow and white double Speck rigs, slow dragged across the bottom.
About 15 of them were over 2 lbs., the rest were 1 to 2 lbs. Most of the guys I fished with only wanted the big or med. ones. I cleaned the rest and put up in the freezer. I am in good shape for the winter now.

I baked 2 of them for 10 minutes, then pulled the black skin off, basted and cooked another 10 minutes. My wife and I wiped them out.

Thanks. It was cold when running the boat, but once we stopped, it was nice, sunny and cool.

Yak, we just slow dragged the old fashioned Speck rigs across the bottom. If you jerked or moved them too fast, no bite. It took us a while to find what lures they would hit on. But once we did, it was on.

That is how I like my Flounders. Baked or broiled.

I missed the Saints game for this trip. That's why they won so well.
A friend called and said some other friends were on the Flounder, but the one on the phone's boat wasn't running.
I ran down to Cameron to launch, it was too cold to run from L.C. to Cameron by boat.
I have been on Flounder before, but never like this.
If you chunked the Speck rig far enough and dragged it back in slow enough, you were going to catch a Flounder on every throw.
But you had to retrieve real real slow.
