Default Needs Rig info...

Gotta chance to fish Friday AM and want to target Ling etc. The guy that I'm going with has a 23' key west with twins so we can run a ways...

Whats some good rigs to hit...I've seen the ling around the satellite rigs (small ones sticking out of the water)

Just looking for some suggestions! Thanks!

If your going out of Cameron, the water is open from the beach out 3 miles. It then closes at the federal line out another 18.5 miles roughly, then it's open again going south, and west. There are Coasties and Lwlf checking pretty heavy. Make sure all offshore gear is aboard. No stainless steel hooks, venting tool, hook remover, flares, fire extinguisher, ect...
Check out the Louisiana wildlife and fisheries web site to look at the map of the closed area.

This time of year, they will be at some of the bouys in the bouy chain.
Hit each one on the way in. Drift up current and let your line drift towards
the platform. Be ready for the Kings and Sharks this time of year too.

hit every possible platform/grass line/debris, pull up and make some noise. cast a curl tail jig and work it up and down the water column for 5 or 10 minutes.

My dad owned an a/c business for 35 years.
I know Jerry cause of him.
He's good people.
Last time I talked to him, he said he didn't fish it much anymore.

I don't officially know Jerry I know his salesman Bubba Wilfer. Great guy (Bubba), heard of a lot of good things about Jerry too.

do what laAngler says.. Sounded like it'd work. I've spotted a few in grass lines. I used big live mullet (5-8 inches long) to catch them. They wouldn't hit live shrimp for NOTHING lol
