Churn first trip in the new boat to Empire

Well, the day finally arrived me and my cousin went out for a day out at Empire. Before today I have never been fishing in the marsh i have only worked in it. My cousin has made limited trips but knew some of the areas to look for that may hold fish. In my opinion the trip was a success. I caught a 27 or 28" red within about three casts after we stopped at the first area. Things slowed down a little but we managed to come home with 3 keeper reds, 2 specks, and a flounder. We lost two reds at the boat and I lost a flounder at the boat. We also caught 5 rat reds.

i tell you what fishinpox, i have been a bass fisherman my whole life and thought there was nothing that could replace that passion. The first fish hit and thought i don't even care about freshwater fishing anymore. I now see why all the people on this website seemed to be obsessed with saltwater fishing.
