Hey "W", I've got 3 nets.... do you need to borrow one until the fund raiser is over?

What size do you need? Medium or small?

Last time I went to the barrier the water was really flowing out of the gates so I pulled up to about 30ft from them thinking I would do some drifting back out to the channnel...WRONG! Stupid water sucked me right up against the gates and I had to crank my outboard to keep from getting stuck in the flow! I ran out to work the rocks across from there and watched 2 other guys go up and do the same thing!

My gramps and I used to throw gold spoons all along those grassy banks and usually pick up several trout in the late summer. I even caught a 30" red one day about 50ft off the bank. Even caught an occasional striper doing this.

When you are refering to "Grassy banks" near the SWB, is this the area just a south across from the camps?

If so, I did very good there about a year ago using an inline spinner bait. The Red fish loved that bait. They litterly tore it up. I had to put a new hook and soft plastic on it. I caught a couple more on the bait......but not like when it was new.

Don't cast too close to the bank.....way to many stumps underwater.
