Default bye bye yamaha 2-strokes

Talked to the guy at yamaha shop he said he put in his last order of 2 strokes. Said 2-strokes cant compete with 4 strokes. Other then not having to mix oil and all that..whats so good about 4 strokes? i like my 2 stroke

he might lose some business with the 2-stroke fans out there. the vmax and hpdi are some bad a** motors. they were suposed to discontinue the 25 2stroke in 07 but the sales numbers where so high they kept producing them. they announced that this year 2009 is the last year the 25 will be available.

I just did a trade in on my Xpress HD22B w/ 150 HPDI VMAX to the X22B with a 150 4 stroke Yamaha. I hate to say it you can throw that HPDI in the trash. The 4 stroke is so quiet and the hole shot is great. When I first started it I did not think it was running it is that quiet. I took it by my house on SAT near the Amite River and I was able to put on 2-3 hours. For the break in peroid, after 2 hours to 10 hours you can run it however you want just do not run it max RPMS for over a 5 minute period. I got it up to right a 6,000 rpms and I was doing right at 50 and I was very suprised of the hole shot/take off speed. I will never own nothing but a 4 stroke. I have been converted.
