Man, I am in love with the new Blazer Bay boats. Anyone ever own or fish one? Would like to hear some feed back, positive and negative.

I'm not familiar with the new ones but my neighbor had a new one in 2003 I think it was like 22 foot and it was one nice fit to finish boat. If I remember right it was very expensive.

I have a 2008 19Ft Blazer Bay Boat. I love it, it performs well in rough water, and does o.k in shallow water. My only complaint is it's a-little tough to clean, the back drains are recessed about a half an inch off of the floor which makes the dirt and stuff collect by the drains. This might be fixed with this years models. Other then that I have no complaints.

Yeah they are pricey, but man they are like a dream. I'm gonna have to treat my main squeeze extra special and maybe she will let me get it. Yep, i'm whipped. LOL

I had a 2005 model. It was the 22 ft professional series with a 300 hpdi. I LOVED the boat. It had a very good ride and performance. I sold it a while back to get and aluminum boat. Only reason I sold it was because I was tired of keeping it clean. If i was to buy another bay boat I would get another blazer bay. The only complaint was the holes in the rear of the boat (I think its called the auto bildge) would sometimes let water back through them and get the floor a little wet. They make plugs for this problem which solved the only complaint I had. I thought it was worth every penny I paid for it. Good luck.

Blazer Bay from what I remember was another knockoff of the Pathfinder, correct? Good bay boat. Well proven hull.

If you want to get catty... this guy makes a helluva boat that will run in spit and darn near do 80mph or better based on testing. Amazing boat... time will tell.

i like the looks and specs of the blazer boats, i would say as far as bang for your buck it would be hard to go wrong for that style of hull. they have impressive numbers on paper too, good speed.

i have to say it would be hard for me to buy a new boat in this market, wait until after july if the economy stays slow you'll have some steals.

don't settle for less than the 21 or 22 footer with MAX power

infamous, yes blazer splashed the pathfinder hull design, and you would have better resale value with a pathfinder.

down here that stingray would not be put to use correctly, our bays are deeper unless he's fishing venice/southeast LA a lot, plus it wouldn't be offshore capable.

I'm not sure this boat would not suprise you and actually do quite well... the SCB eats up chop, not sure about the stingray model... I have ridden over white caps in an SCB doing 70+ and it was smooth and dry, seriously... it almost rides on air. Offshore, are you not liking the low profile? Cats do quite well eating up rough water and skater (cat hull) owns the offshore speed records.

THere's no place for the little ones in that boat. However, that would be one bad play toy.

i think if the majeks have trouble stuffing the bow this stingray would too, could be wrong........

the original scb's look deeper........but they did show a rough water test on you tube for this one, but it was bay chop not offshore swells with chop on top

I've always been a bass fisherman. But ever since I've been on LAS and here, you guys make saltwater fishing look like alot of fun. So I figured if I got a bay boat, I could do both. That trout fishin looks like a blast.

Man the deck space is nice though...I fished out of a 23 ft ultra cat with a 300 merc. Was suprised by how smooth it ran in some rough stuff...nothing too bad though. It felt like you could play football on the front and back deck

Blazer Bay would definitely be a more kid friendly boat. And like angler said, it's got some speed in that hull also.

The original SCB's do over 90 mph with a 300 merc on it. Tournament guys that have them get to the spot first.

I'm in the process of buying a house right now, so I think a new boat is out of the question right now. Sure is nice to dream though.

one thing about saltwater boats, they are money pits, the bays and gulf will break and wear out things you never imagined. Your better off talking a buddy into buying one and you pay the fuel.

it is cheaper to hire a guide every month, BUT, doing that can never replace the sense of accomplishment and fun of being captain of your own ship!!!

if it were me I would find a 1-3 year old hull with a 4 stroke or 2 stroke direct injection power, aluminum trailer, that way you don't take the hard hit on resale, plus most of these boats already come rigged out with trolling motor, jackplate, electronics, power poles, etc.
