One of my co workers went to henderson sat an kept 65 REAL nice bream from under the interstate.

If launching at butte larose how do I get to south pelba?? Sorry I've only been fishing in Henderson once !??

It would be a long trip by boat.

It is my understanding that the Butte Larose canal is a "no wake" area and you would have to go slow all the way to the west levee, then go north a couple miles just to get to the southwest corner of the Henderson Swamp area.

Then you would take "steeter's" canal [going east] about 2 miles. This takes you to south pebla.

If you launch at Butte LaRose exit between I-10, first left will be south Pelba, 2-3 minute boat ride

Correct. And the good parts are only seconds from the entrance. I believe blue chip was referring to butte larose canal and that's on the other side of Henderson. If on I 10 pass up Henderson exit get on bridge follow signs for butte larose exit and circle around left to launch. Pelva first right( n)and left(s) and bigeaux 3rd. Bigeaux north flats are picking up as well as the water starts to fall Both these areas will produce bettter. Right now our best fishing was in 3-5' of water

What time of day has been best at Henderson lately ? The last time I went (last year) they were not really turning on till noon.

Thanks for the report fella's! I know the report is a week later but my nephew with is 6 yrs ago just got his first fishing pole. He has been bouncing off the wall to go. Will try tomorrow morning. I'll post a reply on how we do on Sunday.
