Headknocker Need Help

Need help with building or buying an A R, i don't know where to start, I know I want a .308, i saw one with a stainless fluted bull barrel that i liked a lot, I know I want to be able to mount a scope in the future(preferably night vishion) but i also would like to have open sights, I don't know if it it would be worth it to buy it in pieces or buy it already put together, but if i buy it in pieces, what pieces to get and where from, of course I want the smoothest shooting that i can get, i shot a .223 AR and could feel the whole action moving and i didn't like it, it didn't shoot comfortably, its main usage would be hog and coyote hunting, daytime open sights but eventually night with the night vision scopeany and all suggestions areappreciated, oh yeah and in the lafayette area and a budget around 800-1200

You will be tough pressed to get an AR10 for your price range. There are other options though. Check out the 300 Whisper. Uses a standard AR base.

I wouldn't peice it, I'd go ahead and buy a complete rifle, if you do buy a dpms, buy a upgraded extractor set for more reliablity.
