Default Classified scams???

Been looking for a truck for my son on Craigslist & LSM, have replied to 4 different ads in 2 days, all have been email only & I leave my # & that I'm interested & get no response. These ads are being updated every few ours so I assume they haven't been sold. Could be scams??? Anybody else experienced this? How are people being scamed? All it's done is piss me off!

A couple of weeks ago I was looking for a phone on craigslist. I responded via email to some ads for iphones. I started getting spam emails about a shopping site in return. Guess it's better to call than email.

The lsm adds are usually very low priced. They will answer your email with something along the lines of it was my husbands boat/four wheeler/etc and we devorced. I am moving out of town for work so need to sell quick. It is located in Montana and price includes shipping. I have set up a secure payment plan through google.

As soon as you start asking questions showing suspicion, they quit answering emails. They are just looking for an idiot to send them money sight unseen
