Default Smashing ducks to the West

A few pics from the Texas opener. Guys went this morning with the same results. Lots of bug ducks down along with tons of teal. For some reason the teal stayed around after teal season.

Killed a doe to top it off.

Its hit or miss I suppose. I know a guy that hunts some real good marsh Southwest of Port Arthur. Normally (past 5 years) first split results have been around 3 limits/hunt. Saturday they decoyed 4 and killed 3 Greenwing teal.

Our area has a lot of ducks right now. We killed 180 birds in 5 blinds this weekend and another good hunt this Wednesday. Hopefully, it stays like this for a while. We only hunt 3 days a week and nothing past 12 which makes a big difference when the guides around us hunt all week long.
