Does this seem to be worth taking a look at?
5000 24' fish master 2001 200 Johnson with 8" jack plate brand new 67 thrust trolling motor foot control radio CD player USB the deck lights up blue at night the drivers seat needs some "TLC" and it needs a new prop. His reason for selling it is because he doesnt have room for it anymore now that he has 3 boats. Just wondering from everyone familiar with boat prices and if an older boat like this isn't a really good choice. He's asking $5000 but said its negotiable. im sure the last thing on your mind in this deal is the trolling motor, but a 67 lbs thrust on that boat would be about completely useless except a dead calm fresh water canal so if it were me I would find out how much he would knock off if you didn't want the trolling motor (assuming you want the boat that is) so you dont have to try to sell it because you will definitely want a bigger trolling motor for it.

I had a fish master with a Suzuki. Loved the boat. Never had any problems.

if everything checks out ok then I think offering $4,000 and tell him to keep the trolling motor would be a good deal for it. I don't think I would pay more because of the age you just never know how long the motor will last. not saying it will break on you right away but I wouldn't expect it to last another 5 years either but maybe it will last 10 more years, just can never tell so its just a cr.ap shoot on how much longer the motor will last is what im thinking my thinking is your paying $1,000 for the trailer and $3,000 for the boat and the motor comes with it for free for however much life it has left in it. that's the way I would look at it. |

Is he sending you these pics?? You need to look at that boat in person.. Look at the Transom real good.. They rot because of the wood they used..

They all conveniently leave out the transom/motor area, but he was quick to show you the pointless neon lights that can be added for $50 and a couple hours of wiring and peel and stick Beware |

I saw this same boat and I would be all over it if I had a bit more cash right now. I have a 19 foot promaster which is basically the same hull. The ride isn't the driest, but the boat is a tank. I would let him keep that trolling motor. I have an 80 lb on my boat and at times it isn't enough. That Johnson motor is a good motor. I have an older 130 and it's a beast. I'd take a look at it in person and take it for a test run before anything.
