Hahaha I am sure it would help but I didn't buy the boat to drag race. I am more than satisfied with the mid range performance I am getting. Maybe one day if I get the itch with a light tank of fuel I will take everything out of the boat and see what happens.

Is that WOT for you? I haven't heard what the Suzuki 250 is pushing the BJ wide open but I would have thought it ran mid to upper 50s?

specs say 6100 but I'd rather stay closer to 5700. Like you said not a drag boat and 50 is quick enough for me. Hole shots good and mid ranges quiet. Had the sound system installed yesterday and its crystal clear at 40mph.

No boat runs at 0% slip.

You should be able to get a little more speed with that Zuk 250. I can run 53 at WOT in my 24 triton and the BJ is a lot lighter boat... I cruise at 40 most of the time too though

If 5700 is your WOT and specs say 6100 then I guess its possible that you have too much prop. Trim and jackplate will affect your RPM as well. I will admit though that I don't know a lot about props and proper setups. I just started learning since my BJ accidentally came under propped. If you can get it to turn 6100 WOT like the specs show, then i would imagine you will see better mid range performance as well. Like I said I'm not a pro at this by any means I'm just offering my opinion. Someone can correct me.

What type of sound and deck did you go with? I still have not made a decision about the type of audio I want to put in mine yet.

To be honest 10% is pretty darn good of, 90 % of the props today or around 12-15% range depending on RPM I think the gear ratio is 1.83

For audio, my boat is still at LAM right now, go and listen to the Fusion system that I had put in.

I agree there is no way it will go that fast. With no trolling motor and a few gallons of gas I think I can get 65 out of it. That's not practical though. The speeds I recorded were with a useful load. I had a full tank of fuel with two people in the boat on Wednesday and saw the exact same cruise performance and 61 mph on the top end.

I brought it to Baileys. Sony Marine deck, JL 4 channel amp, 4 JL 7.5" speakers. 2 in the front storage boxes and 2 in the rear.
