Anyone know where to buy parts for a motorguide trolling motor? I need the control unit in the head of a motorguide varimax. 70# 24v

Better read up on the Varimax... That's a common problem. Stuck in wide open. I have one sitting in my shop for 2 years. Used it twice & crapped out. They are junk!!!! Take it back if you just bought it!

Lets us know what you find out please. They had a recall but I didn't know anything about it & it's been 2 years at least since I bought it. I'd like to at least get it fixed to have as a spare. The durn thing is practically brand new

I had to buy a new control board a few years ago. I searched on the net and saved 25+% [plus travel cost] over buying it from Jennings (?). No one in Lake Charles had the part in stock.

Take the cover off your TM and you should see a part no. on the board.

I bought a new control board from Lake Charles Tackle. And for the record I hated my Motor Guide.

Telling you I bought the part for my motor guide at LCT. It was the board with the part that turns for speed. Was like $50 or less.

Call Craig Doyle @ 529-0333. He repairs them and might have the part in stock. He's located off of Lake St south of town.
