Default Minn Kota I-Pilot

Anybody had an I-pilot trolling motor for any length of time? Wondering how durable they are for occasional use.

Meaux has had 1 for quite some time now. I'm sure he'll be by shortly and give you some feedback.

had mine since the beginning of the year...besides the gps I think its the best accessory you can get on a boat. You ever tried to anchor in a current? I dont have to anymore, I just hit a button and start fishing.

Have an older model without I-pilot and deploy bracket is falling apart. Thinking of upgrading to the new 112lb. Has your bracket held up?

Wait till December. The 112 will be out. They discontinued the 101.

Been almost a year I've had mine, never had an issue with it yet. Just keep spare batteries for the remote in the boat.

If the 101 is being discontinued, you may keep an eye out for closeout sale? I would watch the big box store websites.

Alphaman had that problem, but he contacted Minn Kota and they fixed the TM and the fiberglass damage on his boat

Unfortunately we had the same problem. Fortunately NO boat damage. Looking at doing something to make sure this doesn't happen again. Heard about a RAM mount. May look at doing something like that to prevent that from happening and also to help stabilize the shaft and head.
