Default Vermilion Bay Reds

Finally made it out to the bay. Water not great but heard the bay had reds eveywhere. Talked my 10 yr old into coming. More like begged. Ended the morning with 7. Everything was 17-19". But beats a day at work.

Nice job, we went out July 3rd to the pass, only caught one 17" red.

Was on north bank of the bay. Between ICY and Boston. Didn't go far

I have not been able to find any good fish in the bay recently. Water was muddy in the pass also. I usually have better luck in the fall once the river drops into the single digits.

They are that size in all directions, muddy water or not. I find they're not stacked but 1-2 fish on every third point or grass patch. I haven't fished much this year with a new baby. The couple times I did go that's what it seems like to me. I've caught fish every trip though!
