Default HDS Maps!

Got my power cord for my HDS today. Now i can experiment with the mapping in my living room!

Here are two shots, 1st is the Bing map i processed, 2nd is the Reefmaster map i created using the Reefmaster software.

this is gonna be a fun year on the water!

How difficult is it to get bing or Google maps on your graph.

That depends on how good you are with a computer!

It is a bit of a process learning, but once you do it is quite easy.

What programs do you use it overlay these? Is there a website or anything with more info on how to do this been reading about it, I am Def interested in trying it out.

I got an HDS power cable from Redmonds in Laf, and hooked it up to a 12VDC power supply.

the softwares used are.
1. SAS Planet (refer to Alphamans post)
2. Reefmaster Software, http://reefmaster.com.au/
3. Insight Map Creator.

Where did you get your power cord? I have been wanting but have not had the time to explore where to get.

I know these questions are coming.

Other than the power cord ($40), you will need a power supply like the one listed below. It will run any HDS unit.

Nice! Let me know if you need me to help hook it up to the power supply!

It will make a big difference in learning your unit, playing with maps, managing waypoints, and planning fishing trips.

Those photos have me convinced. I'm going to start working on this too. Any way of doing some sharing of files? different ppl could contribute different areas? Maybe pay for maps or do some trading?

Epic, im doing it on a trade system, record the sonar logs and send them to me. I process them and send you an updated map.
