Default Treble vs straight vs circle hooks

I normally use somewhere between a #2 to #8 large eye stainless straight hook for jugs and trot lines and a #1 to #5 live shad hook for yo yos. I hate baiting circle hooks and really dont have any experience with treble hooks. Do the fish hoom easier and stay on better with circle or treble?

For jugs and trot lines I use circle hooks almost exclusively - 4/0 to 6/0 are the sizes I use. Within the next 2 weeks I plan on making a trip and including a how to on jugs / fishing report.

There are two reasons I use the circle hooks,
1. The percentage in pulling up a jug without bait and no fish is very low with the circle hooks compared to all others I've tried.

2. Very easy to get the fish off and rarely have to dig one out from deep.

Not sure what bait you put on the circles but I never have any trouble, I use mustad brand from Walmart.
