My buddy had an HD20 and it was ROUGH. He just bought a '12 Silver Series H22B with the Hyper Lift Hull. There is not comparison, It's a much smoother boat. 49mph with the 150

I have rode/owned a few Xpress boats. The HD series is rough, but great in shallow water. The H series has a different hull and rides much better.

I have the Xpress 18' center console HD (Redfish Package) with a 90 on it. I get 38 MPH out of it at WOT. As stated it can be a very rough ride, however it is a dry boat with plenty of room, very versatile, and is bullet proof. Great in shallow water. I would get another without hesitation.

If regards to it being rough I am fishing from a 15x48 tiller handle which is fine for river or marsh but it will kill you in open water so I understand some of these may not be smooth as a big glass boat but got to be better then I have now. I would like a boat that will move at a decent speed and get up pretty shallow which I think is possible with these but I am wondering how does one perform compared to the other.

I had Xpress 18' bass boat Hyper lift hull, I beat that thing like a step child! Made a many of runs across Lake Maurepas from hilltop to tickfaw & never a problem with any of the welds, it took some beatings!!!

HD = marsh/calm water boat
I have the X22B which has the hyper-lift hull. Totally different ride than the HD. If you are getting you AZZ pouned in the hyper-lift hull, you do not need to be SPEC fishing!

recently purchased a H20SS CC, hyperlift hull. 150 yamaha V-max. Runs over 50 MPH loaded up, handles well, good on fuel. I like.
