Default Increased channel trafic

They always talk about dredging but never about preserving the shoreline of the channel. This is a serious problem and if nothing is done the entire levee will end up like the washout. Who knew when 9 mile cut was named, it would eventually mean 9 miles wide???

I would like to see the government improve the erosion at certain cuts, but when it comes to dredging, its a federal government control project.

The WRDA bill was passed and the President did sign it. Now where does the money go? When Calcasieu receives their allocation of money, it is mostly put to the depth of the ship channel. The major ports (New Orleans, Miami, San Fran) see a little bigger piece of the pie.
